1.1 Principle
The open channel flow meter is mainly composed of a radar velocity meter and a
radar level meter. The velocity meter is used to collect the surface velocity of the
fluid, and calculate the average velocity of the cross section through the model
calculation, and then calculate the cross section area by combining the water
level measured by the water level meter and the cross section information , Thus
using the formula flow rate = average flow velocity × cross-sectional area ×
correction coefficient to obtain the flow rate, wherein the correction coefficient is
calculated according to the standard value obtained in the actual measurement
environment.

2.Ambient Selection
The selection of the measurement channel is directly related to the accuracy of the
measured flow. In order to obtain better measurement results, the measurement channel
should meet the following conditions as much as possible:
1. There are no huge rocks blocking the water, no huge vortex, turbulence, etc. in the test
canal.
2. The test canal section should be straight, stable and concentrated.
3. The test canal section needs to be hardened, and the measurement section should be
regular.
4. The test canal section should be kept smooth to prevent the accumulation of floating
objects
